Gasoline Motor G4ED 1.6L Engine Parts For Hyundai Coupe Elantra Kia Cerato Rio Car Accessoires
The 1.6-liter 16-valve Hyundai G4ED engine was produced in Korea from 2000 to 2012 and was installed on the group’s most popular models, such as Accent, Elantra, Matrix and Getz. There were two versions of this unit: with and without a CVVT-type phase regulator at the inlet.
In 2000, the 1.6-liter engine of the Alpha family debuted on the Hyundai Elantra model. Structurally, it was a classic power unit with distributed fuel injection, an in-line cast-iron cylinder block, an aluminum 16-valve cylinder head with hydraulic compensators, and a combined timing drive, it consisted of a belt and a short chain between the camshafts.
The first modifications of this engine developed from 103 to 107 hp and from 141 to 146 Nm of torque. In 2005, a version with an inlet dephase appeared, which developed 112 hp and 146 Nm. Such a power unit was installed on the Kia Rio and Cerato and some versions of the Hyundai Elantra.
The Alpha series includes: G4EA, G4EH, G4EE, G4EB, G4EC, G4ER, G4EK, G4ED.
